Prog songs for weddings?

when i got married five years ago, a good friend of
mine, who is a gifted keyboard player, composed a
piece of music which he also transcribed to be given
to our local church's organist. he inserted the main
theme of ABWH's "brother of mine" ("so giving all the
love you have...") into the middle section. that was
sweet.

the funny bit though was, when the organist read
over the sheet music, his comment was "i' can't play
this – it was probably written on an electronic
keyboard and the notation on the organ is 'slightly'
different." or something to that effect. he copied it to
the correct key and, yes, it was played during the
ceremony. what a hero!

 King Crimson Devil's triangle will be suitable for wedding (and for the quick divorce also)

I'm getting married in November. My girl & I are choosing songs for a souvenir CD. Her tastes are love songs... of course. Fortunately, they are nice. But I'm a proghead and fusion player, so it's kinda hard for me to choose. However, I think I've come to some choices:

Yes - Turn Of The Century -- This one is a must for me. Beautiful piece, telling the story of Pygmalion. I think this is the closest to a love story and it's just gorgeous.

Cocteau Twins - Crushed -- Nice 4AD ambient song, beautiful guitar work and vocals.

Jon & Vangelis - Italian Song -- This is just a totally beautiful song. Even if it's in Italian phonetics, there is an "O Mi Amore" part in the middle, just gorgeous. Those CS-80 strings are wonderful.

Michael Hedges - The Happy Couple -- Beautiful guitar solo.

and for a 5th song... well, I wanted to include something from jazz fusion... but neither McLaughlin or Holdsworth have anything quite fitting... some of their stuff come close to but not quite... I was going to take "Electric Dreams, Electric Sighs" as the intro is just so emotional; but then it takes off too wildly... great piece but hmm not too fitting I think... Also "Joshua" from Holdsworth's "Secrets" album, but again hmm.. not too sure.

However, I'm deciding on Pat Metheny's "Mas Allá (Beyond)" from First Circle, or "Change Of Heart" from Question And Answer; also options could be "Map Of The World", "Au Lait" from Offramp (although it's too french sensual... oh well), or even "It's For You", "Praise" or "If I Could". Metheny has several beautiful pieces, I should make a decision soon...

About Italian Song, it's actually all the opposite to me. I absolutely love that piece. Even if it's meaningless Italian phonetics. The first time I listened to it was from the Best Of compilation. My friend and I, both strong 70s progheads, were just taken away with this song.

I'm happy to know that it was actually performed live in 1991, during the Vangelis Eureka concert in Rotterdam, together with Jon Anderson.
