Topic: Progarchives at work Posted: May 24 2005 at 03:53 |
How many of you go on Progarchives at work ?
I was won, dering how many of you spent time on this site at work, during their pause or instead of working?
It’s my case, cause i’m currently at work.

I have a highly responsible position which makes great demands on my time and intellect, so naturally I log on to Prog Archives at work because nobody's looking over my shoulder.

Actually we have four computers in our lab and only need two to drive the machine that does our tests/experiments , the third one being used for the data collections , leaving the fourth rather alone and unused , just collecting dust. Since this computer looks sad and abandonned , I use it to go on the net (along with my colleague) , we alternate for web applications related to our experiments which is why I am on the Prog Archives site.
Is this not a programation archives site?

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

"Since this computer looks sad and abandonned"
So it's was a kind of pity that make you put it in use again?
That's very generous of you!

Me too - a majority of the time I'm on here is at my office desk, although usually before 9 am, or during lunchtime.
I'm such a rebel!

Oh yeah, all the time, I'm constantly flipping between work and Prog Archives, waiting to see if some interesting thread is active or someone has given a bad review to an ELP album or something...

I RARELY get on-line at home. I log on in the morning, check out the latest news from the battlefield, log off and get some work done. Then I log on... log off.... log back on.... off again.

It's that place you have to go so that they'll pay you so you can eat and live and not starve and die and putrify on the sidewalk.
