The ARP and the Moog, perhaps, not so the Synthi (without extensive modification). Both the Arp and the Moog generate control voltages at 1:12 ratio (meaning a voltage can be translated into each note of a standard chromatic scale). The EMS architecture was not 1:12, but rather something like 1:10 (or something, I just know it is not 1:12).

Not that this matters, ultimately. But the keyboard controllers for the Moog and the ARP were made to transmit (for lack of a better term) the 12 chromatic notes in a 1:12 ratio, where as the sequencer controller (that looks like a keyboard) for the AKS (or the EMS DK1 keyboard controller made for use with all of the EMS synths), was made to transmit the 12 chromatic notes using the EMS ratio. I believe the Buechla modulars used a platform specific ratio as well.

I do not know, however, if modules from the ARP or the Moog are swappable.

WOW.

probably pointless, but just imagine it...

No you can not link an ARP upto a Moog..they will not talk to each other...The reason Tom Oberhiem started up with his Synths he used to be a salesman & also produced a unit that would allow the two different companies products to talk ...Anyhow to cut a long story short Toms synths sounded excellent & hit off in such a big way the rest is history.

To have these modular systems fully MIDI adapted would be a cryme in the least & a large amount of dosh...You could never fully MIDI these systems anyhow to use everY paramiter on offer.

EMS 'VCS-3'

Mini Moog

RSF 'Kobol' + Add on

ARP 'Omni'

Sequential Circuits 'Prophet 5' & 'Pro-one' & 'six tracks'

Moog 'Polymoog' & 'Multimoog' but need repairing & i have an ARP '2600' which is nearly complete.

Over the last 10 years i've managed to accumilate most modules as to build up a Moog 55 modular system...one day.

Bought a Roland 'Jupiter 8' which needs a fix & hoping to collect a OSC 'Oscar' & ARP 'Quadra'this week if the deal pulls off

What, no Oberheims?

Just kidding, that's a dream setup. I'd love to see a pic of your collection as well. The only analog synths I've owned were a Juno-106 and a Moog/Radio Shack MG-1...not really in a league with those classics of yours.
