I'm not sure if you guys really don't know what the song is or if you're just keeping the joke going.

Not necessarily, I think. Some suggestions: Vegetable Man - Syd Barrett Green Onions - Booker T and the MG's I Can Hear the Grass Grow - The Move or another one?

Vegetables - The Beach Boys is an awesome song.

Screw you guys and your fact based opinions, I'm going to listen to a song about vegetables, they're real good for you, they keep you regular. |
You know, that song is even better. A prune isn't really a vegetable. Cabbage is a vegetable.

^ Singing in that over-the-top voice, but I like this kind of over-the-top.

It's a song about weeds
Weeds are boring.
I'm not a horticulturist.
Ok sure the music is good but the lyrics seriously rile me, especially when Peter Gabriel sings 'Photosensitize'. |
But Peter made weeds fun, entertaining! And I'm not a horticulturist, but I don't have to be to enjoy the music. A lot of us here said that we are in it mostly for the music, not for the lyrics. I'm not a big fan of the subject matter myself, but what kind of entertainment isn't silly (besides puzzles) ?

Really? I thought that was the most hilarious part. Well, besides Peter singing "Heracleum Mantegazziani" in his epic voice at the end.
