Frequent Actor/Director Collaborations

Eraserhead crew. My favourite movie probably.

Seeing Burton casting Depp and Bonham-Carter for every of his last movies gives me the feeling that the retirement years would be... creepy.

Seems pretty interesting. I'd like to know about his life, his friendship with Dali and that sort of things. Anyway, don't let this poll fool you. I do know something about films and cinema, but wikipedia, Imdb also helped a lot. It's not that I have  seen every single one of the movies I posted. Far from that. Buñuel is a particular case because he's one of my favorite directors, but if you ask me about Ford, Hawks or Cukor, the truth is that I know almost nothing of them.

Lots of good choices here, but I will always be a fan of silly physical comedy, so Nielsen and Zucker from the list.  You could have also added Charlie Chaplin/Charlie Chaplin to the choices. 

Buñuel and Fernando Rey!

I've tried to narrow it just to one actor per director. Other choices could have also been Owen Wilson/Wes Anderson, Jason Lee/Kevin Smith or John Wayne/Howard Hawks just to name a few.
