Last time we tried this it failed miserably.  We had a blast making song titles, though.

It's kind of sad that VR/STC succeeded where SR failed. Maybe it's because The Whistler cared and none of us really did.

I hadn't actually listened to any Moody Noobs until now, I still like Vompatti's contributions to Russian Tea Cakes the most.

I'm interested, but don't really want to make a Facebook account. I'll be here though. LOL

Which kind of Yoko? The '(everyone thinks) I broke up the Beatles' kind, or the 'brilliant conceptual (but less brilliant musician) artist'? Wink

For those of you who are interested parties to the collaboration!

I've gone ahead and made a Facebook profile for my PA identity. From there, once I have some friends, Facebook will let me actually create the Group so we can chat, organise details etc.

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002680206059

As soon as I've got the group going, I'll post a link for that too. I just need one friend (hahaha) to start the Group. Then I can add a few of us as admin, so it's not just me adding/accepting members.

Hope this is suitable for those of you who are interested. I understand if you're not into Facebook, but want to be still involved with the project. This thread will, of course, remain quite active if the project can get going.

thanks
dpr

Let's do it, the hardest part about things like this is scheduling a time for a meeting on the internet. Everyone's from everywhere, so what may be early morning  could be while they're sleeping (the next day). But I think we should message anyone who's said they're willing do it to find a time range where they're comfortable to talk either today or tomorrow then go from there.

I think we need a better way to plan this. Such as an IRC chat room and a specific time to talk...

I can do something, provided someone buys me recording gear.

I'd be down for some early Floyd.  We should do Obscured By Clouds.

I spose. My participation is probably limited by the difficulty of whatever we choose, though.

Shall we make a poll?

Might be too demanding, but even more practically because it's two 20-minute long songs. Could be annoying.

My vote is for a Pink Floyd album, or a collection of Floyd songs. I feel I could probably play most any Floyd on guitar, drums, bass, and maybe keyboard if I really sat down and tried, so that's what I'm comfortable saying.

But then again, I only have one mic, now, so unless everyone is fine with drums sounding like reverby ass, a big nope to playing those.

Well then. With all these volunteers, shall we? I say let's go for it. But before anything we need a song. Or an album, what do you all think we should cover? I think something in the PA top 10 would be fun. Maybe Thick as a Brick?

I play guitar too, have a bit of recording gear.  Let me know if something gets started up, I might find the motivation to do something.  I'm more of a rhythm player, can't be arsed to do solos.
