The last album in 1979 was the end of the golden era - perhaps The Wall.
however in all seriousness, the last prog album was released 5 seconds ago! Prog will never die!

Moving Pics ? The Wall is a good answer too. I suspect there wasn't really a last Prog album any more than there was a first, though it did seem to recede faster than it grew.
