After Kermit, Grover was the one I identified most with. Big smile

Elmo and the Telly Monster were after my time.

I guess we need a best Muppet Show character poll.  Hang on I'll do it.

I should have included Kermit in my choices, even though he's more closely related to the Muppet Show than Sesame Street, he was a frequent guest on the latter to warrant inclusion.

I always liked The Count.
 
There is by the way a great movie, Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird, which I watched so often with my kids back in the day that it gave me permanent brain damage.  Lots of good guests, including Chevy Chase, John Candy, Sandra Bernhard, and Waylon Jennings (who sings "There Ain't No Road Too Long", a fine little outlaw country number).
