The classical background, the self-discipline of the musicians, the structure and length of the songs, the artistic integrity, the beauty...

definitely!

that's why i look for clean guitars & fresh keyboards: mainly neo prog like clepsydra, jadis, IQ, collage and steve hackett of the late 70's.

That brings me to one of the main reasons I like Progressive music and that's the people who follow it. As long as there are musicians and fans out there who are keen to keep faith, there will always be something new to share. Sure, there will be disagreements on what is good and what is not but the very fact that there are people around to do this mean that the genre remains a vital one. As long as there is one musician willing to play progressive music and one fan to listen and love it, prog will remain alive.

Plus, I like dressing up as Ganldalf.

I guess I'm just blessed with good 'prog' looks. No need to dress up. Me on way to alehouse. You should see me on way back

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

musicianship, musical composition, attention to detail, variation.

it is unlike any other musical genre I know.  with other types of music it is easy to get bored, you don't get that with prog.
