King Crimson album remixes to be continued

Definitely going to get LTIA, Red and Islands. If they're as good as the revamped ITCOCK...

Once LTiA is done I'm going to order that one and Islands - the two I'm most interested in from the series.  Maybe I'll get Lizard and Discipline once Discipline's re-done. 

The mail order shop is now taking pre-orders for the 40th anniversary editions of In The Wake of Poseidon and Islands.

But he does that a lot, they release 70s/80s recordings with great regularity. They have about 900 buyers for such releases, usually.

Finding tapes that didn't make the cut. Just like that guy you were talking about who took his painting back. what the freak is that? Same thing here. Why doesn't Fripp just re-record everything.then and call it Wake Of Poseidon 2010, Lizard 2010, Islands 2010 etc. Maybe I could deal with that. I actually liked Orchestral Tubular Bells and Tubular Bells II until Oldfield went off the deep end. Why can't Fripp find anything that wasn't released like the Mahavishnu Orchestra's Lost Trident Sessions ( actually some of it was released as live material ). Even Bobby "Boris" Pickett's Monster Mash didn't have the hell re-mastered out of it in all it's re-releases. 

Finding tapes that weren't available is "f**king" with them? That's interesting.

^^ All the remixes are released on vinyl too. And everyone that has bought the new remixes says that they're worth all the money paid and more!

And what will these new remasters cost? Is he going to do the same thing as he did with ITCOTCK? Offer the single CD version as well as the super deluxe 5 CD blowout version . Maybe this would have worked back in the days of vinyl but these days with the volume of music that's available on CD ( rapidly becoming a relic of the past ) and online one has to be rather selective when buying music. When that Great Deciever box set came out it was absolutely mindblowing. I couldn't stop listening to it. My girlfriend was ready to kill me. But I just think all this remastering is going into overkill. Unfortunately for me King Crimson has lost some of it's mystique because of this. Next thing you know we'll have a remaster of Absent Friends with enhanced audience. ( it was my buddy  that told Belew that joke to which he responded "we're working". Actually I wish he'd do that because I can't remember the bloody joke and you can't hear it on the Cd either  !

^ Of course Zepp didn't need more than one remaster as they never lost their original master tapes like in the case of KC.
