Do toothpicks count as very small swords?

Which leads me to the question, is the Space Hopper mightier than the Pogo Stick?

I think that if the pen is mightier than the sword, than the voice is mightier than the pen.

Q.: How can one completely change the meaning of the sentence "The pen is migthier than the sword" by one simple alteration (exchanging, adding or removing a character)?

to quote sean connery in the Untouchables, "if they put one of your men in the hospital, you put one theirs in the morgue.  if they attack you with a pen, you cut their hands off with a sword."

you can't deny it, the big scot hit it on the nose there (probably with a sword as well).

"...misty halos made visible by the spectral illumination of moonshine."

If you can plunge the pen into your opponents eye faster
than he can take a stab at you....

Words can tear you apart.

You could always duck.

^ Wise words there mate.
Please find below a short list of where I find a sword more useful than a pen:

1. At the 54th International convention of Muggers, Thieves & Downright Nasty People.
2. Facing Sauron, Lord of The Ring.
3. During a sword swallowing act.
4. Removing a burst appendix (although I would rate the patient’s chances of survival).
5. Removing a splinter from a finger (but say goodbye to the hand).
6. In a swordfight.

I've always instructed my new staff that proper documentation is of the utmost importance. If it isn't in writing, it never happened. Therefore, I choose the pen. I keep the sword in my trunk, just in case.

As d the poets sheathes his pen , the soldier lift his sword. -  Ian Anderson in TAAB
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

You could also carve it in him with a sword.

I think that makes a more lasting impression
