Hi,
We should re-start this thread .... c'mon ... payola items you would like to see and have!
Again, I will start with Flash's first two albums ... hint (Hipgnosis cover!)
But then again, you guys are replying like a Capability Brown album cover (Hint ... another Hipgnosis cover!) |
I didn't understand the context but two of the bands you mentioned are two of my favorite, so what are you talking about?

I'm so jealous of all the cool things you guys have!
Most of my Prog merchandise are the custom t-shirts I made using this ironing paper thing. (Forget what it's called.) Who know, there might be someone out there in Tulsa who's heard of Van Der Graaf Generator.

My Gentle Giant cap and giant head mousepad just arrived. They're very nice. As you move the mouse back and forth across the pad it looks like he's playing peek-a-boo with you.

I am not interested in specific band names on the merchandise. What I would like to find is items with the word Prog on them. And yes, I have seen the items on Cafepress shop.

I actually find the whole idea of wearing a band a bit ridiculous. Of course, I too have a cool Opeth´s Watershed with tour dates t-shirt, but it´s one and I wear it just like any other t-shirt. But when all you wear are band t-shirts all the time (which is the case with a lot of metal fans) it´s just becomes a cartoon. In one of my university classes there is this guy who always wears, and I mean ALWASYS, an Iron Maiden t-shirt, Iron Maiden bag, Iron Maiden jacket and/or pullover and Iron Maiden shoes... WTF?!?! There is fanatism and there is being a f**king idiot, and he has crossed that line. But the funniest part is that two years ago he was also with me in another class and he dressed all punk bands... so it´s not that he is an uber Maiden fan, it´s in his nature to be a f**king idiot... If he keeps "evolving" (man, I´m such a snob) from punk to metal... the next thing is prog... Rush thongs perhaps?

I think a new brand of Heather Findlay's Women's Lingerie would go down quite well with me.

Do any of you have a link to places where they have Prog backpacks/bags and other merchandise that is not CDs?

I once had a roll of toilet paper with an image of Reagan and Thatcher on every sheet. Hardly progressive, or indeed underwear, but it was quite a satisfying product to use.

There hasn't been any *truly* progressive underwear in decades. I mean, what was the last under-garment that was truly innovative and broke new ground?
