I was wondering what types of novelty/obscure merchandise you have of prog bands excluding T shirts/Hoodies etc.My ex-girlfriend purchased me a pair of bright red pair of Yes underwear from there website.Though I don't wear them as much as I should I'm pretty sure it's evidence of being a dedecated prog fan.I'm pretty sure that's going to be tough to beat but I'm sure there's more random merch out there as there's much more random bands then Yes.

Nothing really strange but i've got those KING CRIMSON album cover stickers they were puttting in with their cds. A UNIVERS ZERO "Heresie" t-shirt along with several RUSH t-shirts including a "Snakes & Arrows" one that Neil Peart's dad gave me. Love to get some ANEKDOTEN boxers.

Hi,
Heck ... the story around the place where I was is that some folks got one of them leather sets from ... someone ... but she also got the crabs from him!
Cheap man ... cheap ... pure payola!
Now I can see it ... more fun thread would be what the payola item would be ... for some bands ... we gonna start with Flash ... and their first 2 albums ... hehehe ...

We've gone a long way from that home-made LZ t-shirt that dude in Almost Famous made, haven't we?

There hasn't been any *truly* progressive underwear in decades. I mean, what was the last under-garment that was truly innovative and broke new ground?

I once had a roll of toilet paper with an image of Reagan and Thatcher on every sheet. Hardly progressive, or indeed underwear, but it was quite a satisfying product to use.

Hi,
We should re-start this thread .... c'mon ... payola items you would like to see and have!
Again, I will start with Flash's first two albums ... hint (Hipgnosis cover!)
But then again, you guys are replying like a Capability Brown album cover (Hint ... another Hipgnosis cover!)

Perhaps Max could open a Cafepress shop - selling stuff with the progarchives logo on (and band images, logos etc. if the artists give permission). Not that it would create much income - but wouldn't cost much either if I have understood the concept correctly.

I actually find the whole idea of wearing a band a bit ridiculous. Of course, I too have a cool Opethīs Watershed with tour dates t-shirt, but itīs one and I wear it just like any other t-shirt. But when all you wear are band t-shirts all the time (which is the case with a lot of metal fans) itīs just becomes a cartoon. In one of my university classes there is this guy who always wears, and I mean ALWASYS, an Iron Maiden t-shirt, Iron Maiden bag, Iron Maiden jacket and/or pullover and Iron Maiden shoes... WTF?!?! There is fanatism and there is being a f**king idiot, and he has crossed that line. But the funniest part is that two years ago he was also with me in another class and he dressed all punk bands... so itīs not that he is an uber Maiden fan, itīs in his nature to be a f**king idiot... If he keeps "evolving" (man, Iīm such a snob) from punk to metal... the next thing is prog... Rush thongs perhaps?

I am not interested in specific band names on the merchandise. What I would like to find is items with the word Prog on them. And yes, I have seen the items on Cafepress shop.

My Gentle Giant cap and giant head mousepad just arrived. They're very nice. As you move the mouse back and forth across the pad it looks like he's playing peek-a-boo with you.

I'm so jealous of all the cool things you guys have!
Most of my Prog merchandise are the custom t-shirts I made using this ironing paper thing. (Forget what it's called.) Who know, there might be someone out there in Tulsa who's heard of Van Der Graaf Generator.
