Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

The Trooper. One of Maiden's best songs of all time.

To clarify, I have 3 iron maiden polls. One for epics, one for 5 1/2 - 8 min tracks, and one for the ones shorter than that. |

Um...by shorter songs, do we mean SHORTER songs? Because then that'd be "Ghengis Khan," the number that bloody well got me into the band. Otherwise, I'll have to be nice and unoriginal and say "Trooper" or "Aces" or something.

I can't say I prefer the DiAnno era, but I certainly consider it equal in many ways. |

Thought about the Trooper, but I gave the first vote to Wrathchild instead.

am I the only one who enjoys more the DiAnno era than the classic era, and the only one who prefers DiAnno's vocals? The music back then was much more energetic and raw, I kind of liked that. The vocal parts of Phantom of the Opera are insanely entertaining |

This ones's hard.
Is this only studio tracks, or live versions as well? Because that can totally change how I feel about things. |

I'll always be partial to the early aggressive DiAnno era when it comes to their shorter songs.
So Murders In The Rue Morgue it is. Love that song. |

These Maiden polls are too difficult - it's a nightmare trying to pick just one track!!!!
I went for Aces High but I also love Genghis Khan, Killers, Trooper, Children of The Damned ... etc... etc.!! |
