Just looked at it and WOW

Really overfilled... Perhaps some sort of "folder" of Singles on a seperate page than this one should be prepared?

I made links active, but the best overview is on the main Beatles' discography page.

Would it be possible to seperate them?

What I mean is have a seperate UK and US discography?

The Beatles US albums aren't reissues. As this is an international site, the original US releases should be listed, if only for historical information.

I don't see a problem with Let it Be Naked - that's surely an official release?

Let It Be Naked might be fine - I'm not a Beatles expert...

As for US versions, I was referring to the Album Data Standards thread in the Collab Zone:

2.8 If a re-issue changes the original track list, then a secondary track list should be given in full under the heading [in bold - use HTML codes <b> ..... </b>]

The fact the songs are different ( takes, mixes) ...well, I don't think it overtakes the official album released in the country of artist's origin...and it's actually a redundancy of the original catalogue...isn't it?Ermm

Sorry, Bartek, why should I check the "Forum Abuse Reporting thread", and where, and what to look for?

Sorry to bring this up again, but here's the mess.

Something New
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23309
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23310
is listed twice, under albums and compilations.
Yesterday and Today (the one with gruesome cover)
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23328
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23329
is also listed twice, under albums and compilations.

A Hard Day's Night (US version)
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=17770
and
Help! (US version)
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=18010
should be deleted, or preferably MERGED with official A Hard Day's Night (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=11066) and Help! (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=11068) entries, NOT moved to compilation section. The same applies to Rubber Soul (US version) (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23355) and Revolver (US version) (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23356) which are currently under compilations section.

The Beatles' Second album (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=11970) also does not belong to the Beatles' official cannon, and I have doubts about Let It Be Naked too.

I think all of the "(US Version)" entitled albums (excluding Magical Mystery Tour of course, since like I say, it is now considered part of the official discography) should be placed this compilations section. After all, these first few US Released were just that: compilations that Capitol put out. They weren't true studio albums in that they were pieces of many seperate actual studio albums.

That's just my view.

I agree. The only American released album still considered part of the official back-catelogue is "Magical Mystery Tour", because It is the only way to get certain Beatles singles on CD proper, I believe.

But yes . . . the discography is quite ugly looking. Unfortunate that one of the greatest bands in history has such an uncared for page on the archives.

The whole Beatles discography is quite messy now: someone did a great job adding singles, but do we really need all those american version of album LP's, especially if  the covers and the titles are the same?!?
