Record Clamps ... Do these add any value?

   I have a Rega P1, and I have been looking at the Michell Engineering clamp that is specifically made for Rega turntables.
The turntable sits on a reasonably solid cabinet, though I can appreciate the value of setting up a wall-mounted shelf.

	As a rule i wouldn't use a record clamp unless your turntable has been designed to include one, and only use the one the manufacturer recommends. The best upgrade any turntable can have is a firm base to sit on such as a wall mounted shelf, therefore isolating it from all kinds of interference, makes a big improvement. which turntable do you have? 	I am looking to get a Record Clamp to use on my turntable after reading some of the claims these improve the sound of vinyl.
