I hate these stupid battles, but I couldn't resist the temptation to vote against Gentle Giant. (Besides, I've been listening to Elementi a fair amount lately.)

Le Orme is a great band, but the Giants are really giants. One of my preferred of all time.

Pretty much a no-brainer for me, Gentle Giant is one of my favorite bands ever!

Le Orme are great as well though!

RIO/AVANT/ZEUHL - The best thing you can get with yer pants on!

Not familiar enough with Le Orme to vote... but I used to think GG were the worst-dressed band in history... and then I saw the Le Orme photo on their PA page...

Why no genesis, yes, crimson, tull or floyd, might I ask? (i'm guessing you wanted to see how the other bands would fare in the absence of the ~biggest names....?)

I am not familiar with Le Orme, but the few songs I heard from them are great, so I will take control over my pavlovian tendency to vote for Gentle Giant and withhold my vote.

The Gentle Giant is a unique chapter in prog history, mind you so is Le Orme , both have made magic and also "Blah" albums. A slight nod to the raconteur/troubadours

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

GG is definitely one of the best bands I have heard. I have only heard a little of Le Orme but based on what I've heard I would vote GG.
Edit: This Battle to Stardom is starting to get hard to choose in Confused

Le Orme is one of the greatest bands i have ever heard.Definitely my favourite Italian band,and my choice in this poll.
