Alcoholism runs in my family too, so I limit it.

I don't drink because I never want to risk becoming an alcoholic. That sh*t runs in my family. Grandparents were alcoholics and two of my uncles were. I don't need any other probs already having mental health issues. (if you couldn't tell by some of my other posts)

So, Mr Garten -- you admit you store your beer next to the heater, then |
Ah, Peter - you poor ignorant fool, you; one does not keep one's beer in a heater, one keeps it in the sun, preferably opened, for a few days. Only by storing one's twiggy beer in this manner can one be guaranteed that:
1 - The beer comes nowhere near to room temperature, or (heavens forfend) cold....
2 - In addition to the fermentation of the yeast already in the bottle, new and exciting organisms gather to give the libation that little extra something.
3 - Ooooooooh, the flatulence .
4 - You get to see that cute little nurse in the emergency room again.

Except for Deuchars IPA, that is.

I'm an ale man. Something like Special London Ale or Summer Lighting is
about a kajillion times better than any of those poll beers.
|
It's only knock and knowall, but I like it...

Did you know that some brewery in Colorado copied the Orval trappist beer even down to the label and commercialized it as such. The monks went to court in the US and won. Got some big damage thing and gave it away to charities.
Chimay, Orval and Rochefprt Trappist beers are made by monks of the Trappe order and their abbeys are lost in the forest of the Ardennes (french part of the country). The three Flemish trappists beers are also excellent: Westmalle , Achel and WestVleeteren. The last one you can only buy at the entrance of the abbey on wednesday afternoon if they bothered to do any, prayers comming first and you can only buy 5x24 bottles and are not allowed to make a commerce of it.
The Dutch abbey "Koenigshoven" (La Trappe) lost their "Appelation Controlée" when they got another brewery to do their brewing.
very progressive beer brewing !!!!!
I maybe a total atheist but still support these guys.

At you regarding the Belgian beers, cos ya have not tasted the good ones and is missing one of the great pleasures in life.
With You regarding the Jerry-reincarnation surname I gave you and the exclusion of your champion band.

That settles that then.
Why would I ever drink anything else?
Yep -- your favourite meal it is -- three times a day, until you die...
of BOREDOM!
Lots of beers are "the best."
There is a variety of types and brands for a reason, just as there is more than one painting, or song.... WHY CHOOSE ONE????
