I think that must be the basic structure of my Espresso machine. MMM, I love Espresso. I think I could use a sock, and filter boiling water through it as you said, it woulbe basically the same thing right? As long as the sock's clean that is.

We venezuelans use two ways for prepare coffe: the first one is putting the grind coffee on a "sock", a fabric-made filter, and passing thru it hot boiling water. This way you get a very light coffee, called "Guayoyo". The other way is with a coffee maker call "greca", which is a special pot that has a recipient for the water, another recipient for the grind coffe and a third recipient where the liquid coffe appairs, after water boils and pass thru the grind coffe. This way we get espresso coffe.
Please forgive me for my crappy english!

You should try Peruvian Mountain coffee, not like the soft beverage my friends from USA drink. I have two expresso machines, one at home another at the office and drink 3 or four Peruvian expressos in large mugs each day.

Dark and hot with almost no sugar, as someone said before no ice coffee or exotic mixes and of course never decaf.

Maybe I can track some down. Must be somewhere where i can get coffee imported, other than what they have at Timothy's around here. I always have espresso with no sugar, and lately about 2 small posts a day. Gets expensive.

My dad always told me drinking black coffee would put hair on oyur chest. i should have know it was a lie, he drank about 12 cups a day, and had no chest hair whatsoever! Neither do I.

I do... I'm one of the hairiest people I know... but the hair showed up before my love of coffee did
