Topic: extrem metal avant dark and relateds 3 Posted: December 12 2007 at 01:40 |
i dont really like samael much, not heavy enough for the style, and the vocals dont work for me. Definately the top two are Celtic frost and Gojira. This is mostly black/doom and not much else but the most creative, original and best sounding bands are those two. Im more into straight up black metal, emperor, enthroned, Darkthrone, old dimmu, mayhem, and the like.

Not really. Its closer to Melodic Death metal vocals than anything close to Black metal.

Samael here. New album due June 15th.
Also love Pestilence and Tartaros' The Red Jewel, which, despite it's horrible production, was a very interesting album.
Also like Children of Bodom, Limbonic Art and Diabolical Masquerade.

Perhaps you're right but I do think they've got more to do with funeral doom than any other genre.
Besides, no-one sounds like Thergothon anymore lol.

| dEATH IS IN ONE OF THE POLLS,BECAUSE THEY ARE A GROUP WITH TECHNIC HAVE SOME SONGS MORE COMPLEX THAN THE MEDIA OF DEATH METAL BANDS ,but I dont include some of black metal like burzum, mayhem etc THEY ARE NOT PROG BLACK METAL and they have a a tragic history. |
Who said the bands on this list have to be Prog Black Metal????
WE'RE IN THE NON-PROG MUSIC LOUNGE!!!
|
I said....This is a non prog, but I BELIEVE THAT I MADE A LIST WITH GROUPS THAT ARE PROG for some ones and not prog for others ,they are in a edge in some cases
