The harmonica is the coolest. Just listen to Sonny Terry, Howard Levy or Toots Thielemans. Been 3 years since I started playing it; beautiful instrument.

Anything cooler than a saxophone? Especially not since I started playing it 7 years ago. Gotta love non-electric instruments.

No problem. I got Supper's Ready mostly by ear but I asked an old friend of my father for help. My ear isn't bad but I can't find anything complicated. Do you, by any chance, have that sheet music on your computer or is it only on paper? I'd like to learn to play that song. |

By the way, are you able to write down the music you hear(as in, how did you get the Supper's Ready tune? Got a good ear?)?
Yeah, I also have improved dramatically since starting, obviously - who doesn't? I like Harmonium a lot, I guess I should learn to play that tune (and it's my favourite album - I've also heard the debut). Thanks a lot for posting, wouldn't have ever found out there was flute sheet music for prog online without you.
I also have the flute sheet music for Supertwister (courtesy of the same music tutor that attends my place from time to time).

Synth! What a coincidence, that's exactly what I play in my band . Piano too, and you know what... what a coincidence, um...
Well, to be honest, guitar does look good, but once you play with guitar players in a band... Okay, I think it's wise that I don't elaborate on that

I learned to play Rhayader too. It's a pretty cool song to play and most people like it when they hear it. I'm actually thinking about playing it in my school's play at the end of the year (with a little arrangement of course). Playing Supper's Ready on flute is really easy actually. It's the first song I learned to play on flute and it's just a little more difficult than Jingle Bells is. My sound is pretty far from being great too. I'm having troubles with my lips too but I'm improving. My sound is a zillion times better than it was when I started. If you know Harmonium and if you like Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison, maybe you'd be interested to know that there is the sheet music for Histoire sans Paroles on their website. The opening melody may be one of the most beautiful piece of flute ever and it's not THAT difficult to play. http://www.harmonium.qc.ca/tablatures/tabhistoiresansparolesintro.gif Enjoy! |
