Well I'd say a moog -synth, but there's no such option, and synths are in numbers, so I said saxophone, because it's cool.

I play drums, bass, guitar and piano, but Organ takes the cake for coolness. I love the sound of a good organ. Its powerful and adds more to a song or piece than a whoopie cushin does to laughs.

Tenor sax.. it sounds so sensual and romantic, specially the higher notes.
EDIT: of course guitar is and will always be no.1 for me.. but I just love how the tenor sax sounds

Why do you need more than one option?
Organ, of course.

1.guitar, any, cause it rocks..
2.piano, for more moving moments..
3.violin, cause it has the most authentic, pure, clean sound of all other indtruments...

Why so angry?
As for me, I once saw a really nice instrument in this store called Ten Thousand Villages, and it was pretty cool. I'm thinking of picking one up and teaching myself to play it (and playing it in the Moody Noobs, of course). No idea what it's called though...
EDIT: Luckily for me, I didn't vote (largely because, for reasons explained above, I couldn't), because I just saw the option "voice." And I'd say that the existence of Damo Suzuki and Malcolm Mooney just won "voice" this battle.

I play self-taught drums... But the instrument I like the most is the Piano (and keys in general, except for honky bar-keys...).

Well, I remember you saying you were going to play Supper's Ready a week after picking up the flute, or something to that extent... If you could achieve that level after a week, whereas I only learned to play a dramatically simplified version of Jingle Bells a couple of months after starting out... I have an excuse though, I had absolutely no knowledge of music theory at the time (and I am still not exactly interesting in learning it, I just like to play).
BTW, I can actually play all the flute parts from Rhayader off The Snow Goose. Not that it's a big achievement, and my sound does not cut it. My teacher says I don't play (or to put better, hold in my lips) the instrument the way it is supposed to be played, but then I played her some of my favourite flute parts in prog and she said I sound almost exactly like all the prog flautists.

I learned to play Rhayader too. It's a pretty cool song to play and most people like it when they hear it. I'm actually thinking about playing it in my school's play at the end of the year (with a little arrangement of course).
Playing Supper's Ready on flute is really easy actually. It's the first song I learned to play on flute and it's just a little more difficult than Jingle Bells is.
My sound is pretty far from being great too. I'm having troubles with my lips too but I'm improving. My sound is a zillion times better than it was when I started.
If you know Harmonium and if you like Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison, maybe you'd be interested to know that there is the sheet music for Histoire sans Paroles on their website. The opening melody may be one of the most beautiful piece of flute ever and it's not THAT difficult to play. http://www.harmonium.qc.ca/tablatures/tabhistoiresansparolesintro.gif - http://www.harmonium.qc.ca/tablatures/tabhistoiresansparolesintro.gif

Synth! What a coincidence, that's exactly what I play in my band . Piano too, and you know what... what a coincidence, um...
Well, to be honest, guitar does look good, but once you play with guitar players in a band... Okay, I think it's wise that I don't elaborate on that

By the way, are you able to write down the music you hear(as in, how did you get the Supper's Ready tune? Got a good ear?)?
Yeah, I also have improved dramatically since starting, obviously - who doesn't? I like Harmonium a lot, I guess I should learn to play that tune (and it's my favourite album - I've also heard the debut). Thanks a lot for posting, wouldn't have ever found out there was flute sheet music for prog online without you.
I also have the flute sheet music for Supertwister (courtesy of the same music tutor that attends my place from time to time ).

No problem.
I got Supper's Ready mostly by ear but I asked an old friend of my father for help. My ear isn't bad but I can't find anything complicated.
Do you, by any chance, have that sheet music on your computer or is it only on paper? I'd like to learn to play that song.
