perhaps I am a cynical b*****d, but I laughed hysterically at that part Embarrassed several parts of VII were pretty moving though, though not to the point of tears (and no, not the obvious one,I laughed when she died too, partially because I knew it was going to happen already)

You're not the only one - terrific, emotional movie about wasted lives.

And no, I didn't cry at the end of Gladiator; although it is moving.

House of Sand and Fog had to be the most depressing movie of all time.  It was a moving picture but you just feel total despair at the end.

I'll admit it, I cried and I cry at just about anything sad.  At the end of Lord of the Rings when Aragon says, "My friends, you bow to no man," I turn into a little girl.  Oh, wellCry

I completely agree.  That movie was a major depresso factory. Everyone character was an antagonist.  I felt completely gutted at the end of that movie and I watch a lot of depressing movies.  No other film has left me feeling like House of Sand and Fog did.

I wasn't crying. I just got something in my eye, that's all.Wink

Perhaps adding the useless death of a furry pet in the final scene would have done the trick for me, but I can also see how this would have made very little sense to the plot.

Great movie, though - I believe the first one I ever bought on DVD.
