Thats why I put ribeye on the list and why I picked it. With or without the bone on it its still the same cut of meat. I live in Kansas City, the 'cowtown' so I guess we are kind of spoiled here, we have the best steak in the world. Ya know I travelled out west and ordered a steak and the quality of the meat was just not the same. Also what I call a KC Strip, some of you call a NY Strip - same thing.

"All the way through"?
Just pull off the horns & wipe it's bum - then it's ready; unless there's enough blood o the plate to wipe your chips in, it's overdone

I only like A1 on:
Beef roast (not roast beef)
Pork steaks
Pork chops
Most other pork products exluding ribs/variety meats
Steaks only need be grilled with salt/pepper, maybe marinade once in awhile.

i found a recipe where you mix a1, thousand island dressing and dried inion soup mix and marinade the steak in it. then when you grill the steak 9here on a foreman grill), you cook the marinade in a pot and use it for the sauce

^O God I can't stand A-1, or any steak sauce, or anything being put on a steak.
I like a nice piece of rare Prime Rib in all its natural glory.

Tenderness, mostly. The higher up toward the back of the cow (except the hips), the more tender it is. The T-bone does have a big T in it, though.
