Get a proper HiFi
 
Unless you've spent proper money on a pro soundcard and are feeding it to decent speakers/amp it's going to sound pretty dire.
 
Your music deserves something so much better

surely the clipping would occur at the amplification stage ie. the amplifier in the speaker not the soundcard. just a though. could it be dust or other stuff rattling in the speaker?
most speakers are not meant to be played at full volume.

check on the end of wires connected to the speakers if their soldering is broken; at a certain high vibration level (high volume), the wires start to float on the carton/polypropylen speaker cone due to the slack contact: to solve the problem, you have to bond the soldering with a heating gun.

your computer is not ment to play music that loud unless you have bought a new soundcard, like goose said the do that at higher volumes.

You may have blown your speakers but if it works at lower volumes that is not the case.

i recomend listening to your music at a lower volume and on headphones

could be interference of some kind - try cleaning and checking all connections, or trying another set of speakers to locate the source of the problem. try the speakers on another pc. are the settings right? (check the volume settings on the control panel they may be set too high). try everything!!

My speakers crackle now when i play music mad loud, they start tio crumblethe sounds of loud muhsic.  Is this because I plauyed the speakers so loud for 2 years?  This is on my Del PC, anyway to fix it, do i need new drivers?
