Topic: Best drummer? Posted: June 04 2007 at 13:32 |
Bruford, Gavin Harrison, Chris Maitland not on the list?!
Pert is waaay to over the top to be musical enough for me, he's another Bozio in my book.

1. Neil Peart
2. John Bonham
3. Keith Moon
But really, if you consider all genres, these guys are near the bottom.

I consider Vander a legend. I've got De Futura blasting right now, and that rhythm section blows away almost everybody.

This isn't going to be the most accurate poll, considering Neil Peart is the only one of those 3 drummers that was actually in a prog band...
and this DOES happen to be a PROG site...
I sense a bias

KEITH MOON :D
That bit where he comes in on 'Won't get fooled again' ..
Though I admit, Bonzo is a cool drummer too.
And Rick Wright.
But it's still Keith Moon for me :)

Rick Wright? I think you're confusing him with Mason.
|
Uh, drum machines? SOMEONE had to program them. And Dave just "didn't feel up to it that day" (code for "nacho hangover").
As for me, I'm with that dude. Moon. Listen to "5:15," where he imitates a choo-choo. No one drummed like that dude. NO ONE.
