Elp, Milking It??

Ironically there's only ever been one decent ELP compilation 'The Atlantic Years' and that was the very first one.Most ELP compilations are not very good selections and somewhat pointless I agree.Just get the first 4 studio albums and the first 2 live albums and you have 95% of the best ELP music anyway.Beyond that there is little that is worth taking seriously.

Actually in our large new and used CD/LP store, the ELP discs is picked up quickly, even "Hot Seat" and "Black Moon" (which is usually what winds up in there). I rarely find anything previous to these. If I ever find a "Welcome Back" or "Works" (I or II) or even "Love Beach," I'm grabbing it.

No, you are not the only one....

ELP recorded 2 good studio albums (their eponymous first and Tarkus), one average one (Trilogy) and one good live album (Pictures at an exhibition). Since they filled monster theaters after that, they concluded that second to them, you had God and....er....that's all. Since then they survive from remains.
