Niall Mathewson of Pallas has a new album out! Well, it was new to me anyway.

^ I could delete Mostly Autumn from the top of my list (seeing as they're not generally regarded as Neo Prog) and then bring in IQ at #12. There are so many other great Neo Prog bands I could've included in my Top 12 list too though, such as Clepsydra (Switzerland), Collage (Poland) & La Tulipe Noire (Greece) to name just three, so maybe I should've extended my list to a Top 20. 

Saw them when the Sentinel came out (and still have my fully signed lp with the poster from the gig!) and they were as good as any of the other NWOBPR bands live at the time. The Sentinel was not my favourite lp of that era by a long shot but i did retain a soft spot for it. Saw them in 2008 and was very underwhelmed.. saw them again (though cant remember the year) with a new, more energetic and aggressive lead singer.. the show was tighter and better but not really my thing. I think they always had an eye on being more of a heavy rock band..

I agree Richard.
Haven’t gone past post Alan Reed Era. Also that makes two of us regarding the Sentinel. I haven’t listened to the whole album all the way through cause I’ve yet to procure a physical copy of the disc.
I shall fix that someday.
