It's certainly best when people tell about their voting, thank you, Grumpy.

And I must say that the much much higher voting result (25) In Rock got 12 hours later looks to me most probably to be due to trolling - even I can't be entirely sure about that.

It's maybe good to know that the probable trolling was made 1 month ago, and maybe later, as well.

Edit:
Paranoid  -  18
In Rock  -  35-15(trolling) = about 20
Powerslave  -  17
Undertow  -  17

And even some of the 20 votes for In Rock can be trolling, as well.

Up to 35 now! Someone is having fun, or trying to make a point.

I have to say that there’s no way I would put In Rock in first place (let alone in my top five from this list), but someone sure loves the album! 😄🤪

And if you, or somebody else, would like to tell about own favourite Metal albums, there's a thread with that possibility, as well.

I can understand that, it's on the borderline in my own point of view, but I find it at least very important for the development of Metal as style, plus it was considered as Metal in the 70's.

Out of these I will go with Deep Purple in Rock, though I am not sure if I would count it as metal (?). I always liked the inspiration from classical music, f.e. in Jon Lord's organ intro to "Speed King", or some of Blackmore's guitar work. One of the more original hard rock bands for sure.

Alternately: Master of Puppets by Metallica (interesting musical structures).

If you miss some bands here, it's good possibility to mention them in

<strong style="">If you don't consider Skymind as Metal, I can tell that not only I but RYM does it, too.

I'm not religious myself but those lyrics are pretty difficult for me to digest anyway.

Only if I find the lyrics were insulting or idiotic I would give up listening, which is not the case here.

Good to hear, you find Melissa lyrics okay, while I can tell that King Diamond is a High Priest in some satanic sect today so, it was pretty serious business for him.

LOL
I actually enjoy KingDdiamond more than Mercyful Fate, more ambitious and better put together, plus there's Andy LaRoque on guitar. LOL

Sorry about that, Jeffro, as it unfortunately isn't one of mine - but at least you mentioned it in "your favourite 15 Metal albums?" at your top position, and Powerslave (your #3) is here.
