"Horizons of the Sun" will be a good name for your symphonic prog album. "A Landscapic Forest" will also do the job. If your band is about searching for the 70's prog style, a long name will do the job. "The Horizons Suns of the Landscapic Forest of the Sea" is about right.

Based on looking out of my windows I have a few great album names.
#01. 2 bums and a couple of bushes.
#02. Between the venetian blinds.
#03. These windows needs to be cleaned.

My album would probably be called hell.![](smileys/smiley11.gif)

Mine would be "A Man in a Suit Walking Past a Luxurious House with a White Facade Turns Around to See a Car Going Down the Road in His Direction."

Good point, lordoflight. I'm a lawyer myself (just a rookie in fact), but I remember that during my schooling we were to emulate the trial, I was playing the role of barrister and named my firm "Anderson Bruford Wakeman & Howe". One day I will open a firm with such name with my colleague who is also a great progger.
I guess Jon, Bill, Rick and Steve would have nothing against it.

yet you still have time!

You're forgetting groups made of virtuoso musicians who are all named like lawyer firms - bozzio, levins & stevens / emerson, lake & palmer/ torn, karn, bozzio / anderson bruford wakeman & howe / etc ![](smileys/smiley2.gif)

I've followed option 1. My prog album is henceforth to be known as "My
sons' socks and pants hanging on the orange clothes line of destiny".

![](smileys/smiley36.gif) I think Spinal Tap parodies many a
prog convention as it is. I'd love to increase awareness of prog
through my work (if I ever get ANY modicum of success, this is),
through using largely proggy soundtracks for any radio/TV/film work.
Part of me would also just love to present a proggy music show, but
that's probably an even more far fetched dream than working for TV
would be!

I ocassionally dream about front a humourous avant-prog band with two
possible names: Brown Leather Omnibus* or The Ocelots. If we called
ourselves BLO then the album titles would be a la 6 or 8, eg:
"Brown Leather Omnibus - The Posturing Sugar-Drawer"
If however, we were The Ocelots, our album titles would be very extreme examples of option 10. For instance:
"Germaine Greer Must Answer to The Ocelots!"
"Unfortunately, We Appear To Be The Ocelots."
"The Ocelots Have Filled Out Their Tax Return Forms As Best As They Can Manage"
Oooh how I'd love to front a very silly prog band... *sighs*
*Yes, pretty random words but they're not mine - it's a reference to The Goon Show.

And still there are some people who actually thinks prog is not funny... Great thread, mr. Winters!
