The worst cover collection (in reality it is the best because it is just flat out hilarious) is The Residents "The Third Reich and Roll".  Every time I hear it, I hear something new and hilarious each time.  Everyone of the songs are deconstructed songs mostly from the 60's.  Hear all of your favorite songs ruined by The Residents including favorites like "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", "Light My Fire", "Horse With No Name", "Wipe Out", "Hey Jude" and others all surrounded by sound effects and bad mixing.  See how many you can name.  Besides, what else were you planning on doing this weekend anyway?

To each their own of course, but "O Superman" is one of my favourite songs, and has been for decades, and I love all of Laurie Anderson's Big Science album.

To some it may be sh*t, but one man's turd is another man's treasure.

I can't say because I utterly don't waste time with pop.  I'll have to think about it.  Worst pop song by a prog band would have to be Misunderstanding which at the time I definitely thought was some kind of mistake particularly when you compare it to Follow You Follow Me.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

This sort of gimmicky rubbish makes me head for the hills. Thank the stars for Extreme Metal. It’s sanctuary.

LOL. Extreme metal AND extreme prog. Yeah, this is as bad as it gets really. Faux muzak of the new age with a ridiculously lame ass gimmick. Freddie Mercury would NOT be pleased.
I wonder what Brian May thinks ??

i could see this song being annoying if played too much. I actually like it once in a while. It's so different.

I had a smile on my face the whole time. This is marvellous. The sort of stuff I did as a teen after a few rips.

Yeah, that song Tiger Feet was fun. If you happen to ever feel a little pissed off or depressed just watch the top of the pops video from 1974 and it will change everything, even if it is only for a few minutes

^ That is awful indeed! There seems to be a lot this kind of bland electro pop out these days. Mostly aimed at clueless teens in the suburbs.

Essentially a lot of what's on the radio and what's being played in stores on repeat these days.

The most memorably horrendous examples include:
The Chainsmokers - Closer
Zedd - Middle (that terribly annoying "meet me in the middle" song)
Rihanna - Work ("worworworworwor")

Of course, don't get me started with Imagine Dragons. I'm not even going to call them "rock" anymore - and that's coming from a former fan. "Thunder" should be banned from the face of the earth.

And finally, I came across this just yesterday:
I have no words.
"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future." - Dan Quayle

Reach out as forward tastes begin to enter you...

NO way. That's actually pretty good. Reminds me of Sweet. Has the same beat as "Ballroom Blitz." Never heard of Mud so guess i'm misisng out on some glam rock! Definately not going on my list :)
