Ctte is ok but just hasn't managed to convince me of it's ingeniuty. I admit that Wakeman, Bruford, Squire, Howe and Anderson are far more skilled musicians than Gilmour, Waters, Wright and Mason. Ctte broke boundaries and is a paradigm of a prog-rock album. Dark Side for it's part is number four in the most bought albums of all time. Ctte is a bit artsy and I honestly enjoy DSOTM more. Technical capacity isn't everything! The athmosphere is important when listening to Floyd.

AS FAR AS MUSIC CONCERNS, "CLOSE" DOES HAVE WAY MORE MUSIC THAN "DARK SIDE".

Instrumentaly, there is no contest. Even in terms of originallity and passion.

Dark side is definitely overrated. "Close" is overrated too but at least has great instrumentation.

Well as its my personal favourite I'll vote for CTTE. DSOTM is great but personally I prefer Animals or maybe even WYWH

Without the need to say a single word in any language known to me, this guy managed to express my exact feelings for Close to the Edge and it's overrating fans.

Well, 22 votes each. This is one of the most balanced polls I've ever seen.

BTW, let me just say DARK SIDE OF THE MOON one more time.

Really two completly different albums so Its hard to say. Im a huge floyd fan so I cant go past dark side.

Come to think of it Id love to hear a Yes/Pink Floyd collaboration, that would be unreal!

Well McGarnical Billy is dead! They slit his throat from ear to ear!

Close to the Dark Side of the Edge of the Moon

Actually, a narrow victory of Dark Side for me ...

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
