It´s Close To The Edge, of course... I find Dark Side Of The Moon (and all the other Pink Floyd records) very boring, especially if you compare it to most other progressive rock albums. Pink Floyd are not very progressive compares with Yes. Of course that doesn´t necessarily mean Yes are "better" (Even though I think they are).

DARK SIDE OF THE MOON...

CLOSE TO THE EDGE is not Yes' best album and not prog's best album!!Just my opinion...

It has to be CTTE. I do like DSOTM but, as someone else said, it's a bit boring IMO.

They are two completely different animals...I go for CTTE anyway (never liked PF)

I love Pink Floyd and Yes, but Close to the Edge is far superior to Dark Side of the Moon.

Its like comparing a 20 lb block and a 20.01 pound block.  Yes one is bigger (or better in this case) but who can tell?

There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

Tough choice - CTTE is far better in terms of musiciancraft, but DSOTM is much more coherent and deals with issues more important to human than ideas of "Siddhartha".

Actually, a narrow victory of Dark Side for me ...

AS FAR AS MUSIC CONCERNS, "CLOSE" DOES HAVE WAY MORE MUSIC THAN "DARK SIDE".

Instrumentaly, there is no contest. Even in terms of originallity and passion.

Dark side is definitely overrated. "Close" is overrated too but at least has great instrumentation.

Ctte is ok but just hasn't managed to convince me of it's ingeniuty. I admit that Wakeman, Bruford, Squire, Howe and Anderson are far more skilled musicians than Gilmour, Waters, Wright and Mason. Ctte broke boundaries and is a paradigm of a prog-rock album. Dark Side for it's part is number four in the most bought albums of all time. Ctte is a bit artsy and I honestly enjoy DSOTM more. Technical capacity isn't everything! The athmosphere is important when listening to Floyd.

I go for DSOTM.... it's just more my kind of music (though I think it isn't floyds best by far)
