What about providing them some coconuts, so you could see and tell us if swallows use saws to cut them in two? |

How do swallows cut coconuts in half? Do they have tiny little saws? btw - there is a nest of baby swallows in the toilets of our local rehearsal studio. They're obviously not too fussy about where they nest. And there are definitely no coconuts around there.

I migrate in circles in my living room and I have yet to see a coconut.

All of a sudden, I remembered that the said coconuts were, in fact, halves of coconuts.
So, maybe the swallows only carry half a coconut, making the theory that they brought the said fruit from the tropical zones slighlty more plausible. |

The whole point of Monty Python is that their logic is absurd. Every logical assertion made in '...and the Holy Grail' is a satire on philosophical logic and deduction ("If she weighs the same as a duck... she's made of wood!"), and that includes the first guard's logical deductions based on his erroneous assertions. The really clever thing about Monty-P is that any subsequent philosophical discussions that follow on from it becomes the butt of the joke rather than any extension of its humour... and that includes this paragraph I've just typed.
Correct on both counts. One lesser known fact: coconuts are cultivars.

aside from the fact that Swallows and Coconuts may have been a 1972 porn flick, I swear I saw and heard a flock of geese... geese...flying north a few days ago

There's some merit to your theory. However I bet the French are involved somehow, as they seem to be masters of showing up where they shouldn't be themselves. They're also excellent at lying so they could easily pretend to be surprised when two specimens show up at their doorstep sonically masquerading as horse hooves.

Do you think it would be possible for some of the migrating European swallows to fly to Africa, mate with some of the African swallows, making a generation of swallows strong enough to carry a coconut like an African swallow AND able to migrate like a European swallow? That's probably how King Arthur got the coconuts. Just saying...
