Can a conspiracy theory ever be true? What is that says that all conspiracy theories are lunacy or bullsh*t? I'm just asking because I think we haven't discussed this on PA (or maybe we have, we have discussed everything). Really, why? I'm notbsaying I believe in bin Laden still being alive or in him having died in 2000, but I still don't see why a conspiracy theory is always so lunatic. Is it just the need of most of society to portray as "abnormal" anything that is outside of the general norm? Adaptation to society's canons is still the measurement of normalcy? Or it theren something more?

He didn't use a woman to shield himself, he wasn't really firing back or even holding a gun. He was executed, plain and simple. Good or bad, it was not an hyperbole after all.

I posted a link before. That report was inaccurate.

It was reported that he used a wife to shield himself while under attack, and she was killed.  Perhaps that was the extant of his so-called "resistance."

Henry the order was to shoot him. He was getting shot if he waved a white flag.

And come on man don't ruin his air raid fantasies.

You said that in the other thread, and it's still not true.

I was watching the evening news and in the end you only get this information second or third hand.  So take it all with a grain of salt.

"Officials produced a quick DNA match from his remains that they said established bin Laden's identity, even absent the other techniques, with 99.9 percent certainty"

I don’t know where they got that from, and I don’t really know how reliable Huffingtonpost is, but here’s the article:

The report was that they were awaiting DNA testing. It was not completed when his body was buried.

That's not what I heard; we probably have different sources.

I actually just read this article Pat.

That's not to say I'm pushing a conspiracy theory though.

Plus, it's not like no one knows what he looks like, and one of his wives who was present confirmed it was him.

Please, no one bother saying it could have been a body double or whatever, the conspiracy theorist always moves the goalposts no matter what information is provided.

So, his body was put through a TSA screening?

Well, I'm just so glad that President Bush got him dead or alive.  That was Bush that finally got him right? Tongue

Yes, can't say I disagree with much of that.
Also, while I applaud you for being a thinker please don't make presumptions about people.

Forgive me if I may be over thinking this...but that believer remark felt like quite an assumption based on one post and given the topic at hand...sure hope you didn't assume me another dumb American. That would've been quite closed minded now wouldn't it?

I honestly can think of few people I've known or even encountered that believe it 100% Like I said that would be incredibly foolish.
