Well hell even I would. One of the greatest QBs ever, handsome, and the "shut up money" would be at least 30 years of salary! Oh the SB, right. I predict a close game, with the Niners winning. Just think they are better, though I wouldn't shocked in the least if the Ravens win. |

i want the AFC team to win because my favorite team is in this division, but i don't like the Baltimore Ravens because they beat up my favorite team and i prefer the 49ers. So i won't be disappointed either way, i just hope that we still have a game at the half.

Look...I'm sure there are many people in Miami who would love to have a b*****d child with Marino.

Its mainly his flopping around, kissing grass, and claiming this is gods will and they have some faith destined road to the win the SB....what a tool.
Can't really care about this deer antler non sense. Its not even a fun pointless story, like Dan Marino's b*****d child |

Breaking news Ray Lewis was just seen in a New Orleans park, pawing the ground and rubbing his head against a big live oak tree.

Just hoping for a good game.
While I lean to the niners I don't really care who wins but I am increasingly getting peeved at Ray Lewis. I tried to stomach it for a while but sheesh, he just needs to shut up, and really quit this god business. St Lewis is just becoming a real pain. |

Yeah, Shanahan should have pulled RGIII after he tore his knee when it was Wash. 14-0. RGIII, I think had like
an 11.8 rating the rest of the game. Obviously that is looking back. Congrats to Russel Wilson for coming back,
albeit against a cripled QB....
Ya gotta give me credit. I went "homer" with Wash. and still got 3 of 4 wins...
I'm picking Baltimore in the SB as I picked them over NE, last week...
For Rookie Of The Year:
Why not do a 3-way split? I think a winning case could be made for Luck, RGIII & Wilson. Yes Wilson won one more playoff game but he had nowhere near the full seasons that Luck & RGIII had. Arguing which guy for a single winner is pointless. All three are fabulous and welcome additions to a QB-weak NFL.
Yes Wilson had nowhere near the seasons Luck and RGIII had, he had a better one by far Fact - Wilson faced the toughest schedule of all three quarterbacks and it's not even close. Fact - Despite facing an incredibly tougher schedule that Robert Griffin, Wilson's statistics were either better, just as good, or barely behind. The stats were well ahead of Luck. Fact - Wilson took over basically the same team that Tarvaris Jackson had, but led them to the biggest increase in DVOA and Offensive DVOA. This gives us the best idea of what Wilson was truly worth to his team. Fact - In the second half of the season, Wilson had an argument for being one of the top five quarterbacks in the league, if not the best. His QBR over the last 11 games was tops in the NFL. He was also the best home quarterback in the NFL. As he got better and as the offense developed around him, Wilson avenged all 3 NFC West losses and played good or great throughout. He also improved his road numbers dramatically. Fact - Even if there was such a thing as clutch, Luck did not display any more of it than Wilson did and in fact, Wilson had significantly more touchdowns during the season that gave his team the lead or tie. They also came against some of the league's best teams, including the Patriots when down 13 points in the fourth, and the Bears (the number one defense in the NFL) in Chicago. Fact - When examining the season game-by-game, Wilson consistently had the most good performances and the fewest bad performances. When I had finished, there just weren't many areas where Russell Wilson was behind Luck or Griffin. He had more interceptions than Griffin but way fewer than Luck. He had fewer rushing yards than Griffin, but significantly more than Luck. He had more throwing touchdowns than Luck or Griffin and the highest total number of touchdowns. The Seahawks went 11-5 in the toughest pass defense division in the NFL, not in the AFC South and not 10-6 in the NFC East. As for coming back against a crippled QB, Wilson played against Washingtons defense not their offense. Edited by timothy leary - January 31 2013 at 16:41 |

Dude,
I picked the Ravens to beat Denver and then NE. And I am picking them to save the world from SF having six
Lombardi trophies....
Go Ravens!

The city of Washington D.C. can take a break for the rest of the year now. Russel Wilson rookie of the year, both other contenders could not produce in the playoffs.
Yes, I do have a particular distain for Lewis and wish to see his name back in the mud where it belongs. If he used a banned substance to make this miracle comeback then it's a legitimate story, though. He can eat as many half sammiches as he likes as long as he's not coating them in steroids. Gay marriage should be "cool" everywhere, btw.

Yeah but cmon.....don't be silly here.
Ray Lewis can throw out a half eaten sandwich and you'd talk about it. Man you really must be in love with Lewis, I think gay marriage is cool in Maryland? |

It's an NFL story, this is an NFL thread, so it gets posted here. Vijay Singh claims to have used it too but the golf thread I created died out long ago. |

eh....now you really ARE grasping at straws man.
A football player using drugs? Man with the exception of Eli Manning and maybe Sanchez I pretty much assume every player is on some type of enhancement and/or marijuana. If Sanchez is cheating he sucks at that too |

LT was the greatest defensive player in the history of the NFL . Taylor capped off an unprecedented start to his career. After six years, he had been named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award (1981), NFL Defensive Player of the Year a record three times (1981, 1982, 1986), First-team All-Pro six times,[27] become the first defensive player in NFL history unanimously voted the league's MVP (1986), and led his team to a championship (1986). There is no way Ray Lewis can top that, period.

It's hard to compare LT and Ray, different positions ... have to think, of MLB's over the years.. like Singletary, Lambert, Butkus, Nitschke, Mills.. certainly out of this group I'd rather have Lewis :)
OLB's ..Derrick Thomas, Wilber Marshall, Hendricks, Ham.. certainly of this group I'd rather have LT :) If I could draft only one, I'd go with LT because of his overall versatility.. my two cents, heh.. |

If there was a god I imagine he'd be against the whole double homicide thing, as well. Wouldn't imagine even constant sucking up would put you back in his good graces enough for him to supernaturally lift you into a game that he'd likely care less about. Also, anyone who thinks Ray is better than LT has probably been hitting the crack pipe harder than LT himself.

That's pretty much how I feel about Flacco. I think he makes some bone-headed mistakes from time to time (some even close to Sanchez-like). But unlike Sanchez, they've built a team around him that is also quite good, instead of taking away the team's playmakers on both sides of the ball (as the Jets have done to Sanchez). I'd have a hard time putting him in my top 10 currents QBs right now, but I'm going to wait and see how he does in this game before reserving final judgement.
