^^ i've heard about Dordeduh some time ago , but i didn't listen any samples  yet. i hope they will release an album soon

i heard NB's new album, but it is not as nearly great as OM, in fact,i was dissapoineted a lot . and yeah, it's completely new line up now except for the drummer. and yeah OM sounds much like WITTR, but NB first albums has a bit different  sound, more progressive black  then post metal, so i guess that is the reason why they are in tech/extreme and not in post metal.

I'm afraid to checou out the new NB album simply cause the only original member is the drummer. It's dumb thet he'd survive when he wasnt a guitar player singer or at least a keyboard player. I think it's bad taste.

Thanks! I've heard Mogwai's Young Team and EITS's All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone and they were both brilliant so I'll check them out more as well as the other recommendations. Smile

You are in the right place dude, just stick to this thread and you will find loads of great bands. For a start try this ones: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, God Is An Astronaut, Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, Mono.

I like quite a few post-rock bands, my favourite being Sigur Rós. I also really enjoy Russian Circles.

^ Whaa? Nothing i'd expect from those gents, i gotta go check this out. 

About Cecilia Eye's, i hadn't heard them before, but they sound pretty nice. I really dig their taste in textures, but i'm not sure how i feel about them yet; "Shoegaze" tends to bore me quickly. Also, i like the new "My Education" better than their last album so far.

Well, it's super nice to see the GY!BE news. I know they've forged some beautiful stuff that they've never even put on an album, so hopefully they'll get inspired enough to compose an entire new album. Hopefully one of the "9 towns" they plan on visiting in America is somewhere near me.

yeah, they're real new, but they have some great ideas. No official recordings, but I've seen the guys live, and its pretty sick. I think they're coming out with an EP soon.

After seven years of hiatus, the mighty Godspeed You! Black Emperor have returned. thanks god,they will play at ATP Nightmare Before Christmas 2010  which takes place during 3rd-5th December at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead. i hope they will come up with new album in near future.

Well, just got back from seeing Red Sparowes.... super nice and good people, yet i can't really get much into the new album and they pretty much played it exclusively; right away i could notice the difference in dynamics when they played something from the first album, and it was beautiful. Anyways, i certainly don't regret it, and it was nice to see so many people there supporting them.

Doom Riders.... I wanted to escape soo bad, but the venue didn't allow re-entry. The stage presence and personality of their vocalist reminded me alot of Fred Durst, and at one point, when heckled by an audience member, he said "Well, i bet you can't drop into a vert ramp like me!" They also had a "song" about skateboarding.... Yeah
