The Yanks got eliminated after 13 straight playoff appearances......now they know how the Braves felt. It's nice to see Tampa Bay doing so well but I fear for Baseball if they make it to the World Series.

I was in attendance to the latest laid egg by the Tigers. Make that a goose egg. I believe that was the 12th or 13th time that this murderer's row has been shut out this year. At one point late in the game they flashed on the scoreboard "Show Some Energy". Our response was "You First".
I also bought a souvenir foam hand tonight so that I can cheer" "We're number five!!!!" Yep, my buddy E-dub must be thrilled that his Royals have caught and passed the Tigers.

The Cubs clinch it against the Cards. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

I have season tickets in the bleachers at the Tigers games. Best seats in the house in my opinion.

So RileyDog. Were you the guy that ESPN was showing this weekend who caught home run balls in back to back games? If so, you really need to work on your dance moves.
Sad day for baseball that Yankee Stadium is closing. I am also sad that I never had a chance to go to a game there.

Hey their 3rd base coach was a fine utility player in his time.

Like the Phils chances of making the playoffs now, in what capacity I'm not sure.

The Pirates sweep the Cards this weekend. Why couldn't they play like this all year?

I don't want to say anything to jinx the Dodgers.

A little late on this but.....Pittsburgh tied the streak of 16 straight sub .500 seasons. I wonder if Vegas is offering odds on the record breaking 17th season?
It's tough being a Pirate fan these days.
I wonder if Barry would want to come back for one last season?
Nah. They'd be better off bringing back Bonilla.

If by "these days" you mean the last sixteen years....

Just for fun, my World Series prediction: Dodgers over Twins in six. I dunno why, it's just what I'm feeling.

Can you believe that Albert Pujols has been leading the league in hitting this year while getting less pitches to hit than any other hitter in baseball? Oh, and he's been doing it with only one elbow.

Also, I laughed when I saw that the Yankees currently have CARL PAVANO penciled into the starter spot vacated by Kennedy. I wonder if he'll actually play again...

Of course, Pavano came up lame again so it looks like it's Hughes to the rescue, ready or not. Because if he's not ready, I think Kei Igawa is the only option and nobody wants that. Not even Igawa's mother.
