Sea of Tranquility Album Rankings

Well, for a guy above 40, (I'd give him between 55 & 60), he's still got hairs (and plenty), which is a lot more than many can say. 

This said, I just quickly ffwd through his Renaissance appraisal and find him indeed fairly shallow: not only is he not sure about what he's saying, he's reading the tracks or participants (he's even mentionning drummer Slade - instead of Sullivan)  and almost totally disregarding the ex-Yardbirds line-up (does he even own them at all?) not even showing the albums, as opposed to those crappy 80's and 00's albums, which he obviously owns.

How can someone knowing so little about a band's embryonic days can be assessing them correctly?

It's not just a question of tastes (and publishing them), but a question of credibility: 

- I mean the Yardbirds "were still looking around and trying to find the Renaissance style"?? Looks like the Dunford-Haslam duo never tried any further in that case, because they owe everything to the MkI line-up.

- Tout one of the best bassist? Weeeelllllllllllllllll, he owes eveything to Cennamo.

- AFAIK,Tatcher wasn't involved in the band in the early days.

I'd hate to hear his appraisal of other bands.

picking on someone's looks is lame to be honest. 

Pick on his opinions if you will, not his looks.

PP, is this about your ego matching Pardo's??

I completely disagree with that assessment. I judge the music by listening to it, not whether a band plays it live or not. That doesn't seem like a very creative way of using your brain.

Yeah, the live part is great, but many times when I pull the album out I go straight to the studio tracks. Even though the band themselves might think what they made was rubbish (as I think Waters and Mason have said publicly) and Gilmour was apparently bullsh*tting his way through his portion, I think this stuff was wonderfully creative. 

If I was rich and had a time machine, I would have gone back in time and paid them loads of money to make 10 more albums worth of Ummagumma studio tracks at the risk of ruining the Pink Floyd timeline and having a run-in with Doctor Who.
