I've been getting into the spirit of listening to a band's whole discography in order too.  Yesterday I listened to 7 Steve Miller Band albums (all the album before the Joker).  Today I'm considering the same for King Missile, though I'm missing one of their albums so it won't be complete.

I'm still afraid to listen to it.

I know that there are guys on here who absolutely love The King of Limbs.  It was their album of the year last year, and they call it Radiohead's best album ever.  For me, it was a boring and disappointing album.  It wasn't necessarily bad, but it just wasn't really that good either, if that makes sense.

When I'm in the mood for it I like OK Computer quite a bit. I wish Thom Yorke did more stuff like this though.

Everything I've heard by them has been pretty mediocre

I feel much the same way.  They're a good band that's done some admirable experimentation to make their sound incorporate more art rock idioms that appeal to me, but at the end of the day there's 12 other bands I'd rather listen to for that kind of sound.  I've only heard 3 albums of theirs (Bends, Computer, Kid A), and all of them are good albums.  Haven't ventured beyond that though.

Link doesn't work, but I can tell that's the same site I looked at.
I noticed it was submitted by Colin Marston, who's a guitarist in some modern metal band whose name escapes me, but who appears as a musical collaborator on this Jarboe album I was listening to this morning.  Nice coincidence.

Huh, so that power chord in LTIA II is just an E major chord with an F in it, creating that minor 2nd rub.  And the little doo doo dwee doo dwee do part looks fairly easy to play too.  I guess it's all in the distortion.  I need to try that out at the next band practice.

edit: totally misread the chord.  Never mind.  Still easy to play.

Part 2 isn't that hard, other than a few parts.

Maybe my sound was really messed up when I listened but CA sounded really muddled.

Me neither, it was awful.

I learned to play LTIA pt. 2 on bass, yay

I've always wanted to learn to play that on guitar.  It might be within my skill level if I work at it.

As for CA, all I can say is that it's the first Rush album in 20 years I've been the least bit excited about.  It's not great, but it's good enough I'd say.  And it sounded good in concert.

Part 2 is cake compared to part 1.
vrey ture

I'm going to go see if I can find on the internet what that cool chord is.

Norwegians have very little knowledge of what a Rush Limbaugh is, only through certain satirical programs his presence is known,  3 out of 10 is totaly ignorant of what that man is opiniating about, 6 out of 10 have a knowing relationship to Glenn Beck.
