I think that the next logical step after Led Zep would be to familiarize yourself with Deep Purple, if you haven't already.

i whould state, (though hardley true), that Cream is the first jam band, and also the first improvisatouric rock band with a virtous on each instrument, who could extend te ussage of each individual instrument,
