An average rating of around 4.5 isn't high enough? |

If we're talking about PA rankings only -
- Abbey Road! It should be more appreciated around here. It's a masterpiece, ahead of ot's time. |

For some people, yes. They just diss it as boring. As for what I think the most underrated album is: ... Who cares?

Okay, I'll be the first to say it again:
Underrated is an extremely overrated word, especially on PA

Roger Taylor's 'Happiness?" and 'Electric Fire" remains widely unknown, but they are amongst the greatest albums I've ever heard (though I believe that Roger Taylor could easily be added on the archives in crossover or at least prog-related section, he's not on the archives yet).
Uriah Heep's "Wonderworld". A very solid heavy prog album and one of the best albums by Uriah Heep. It's sad to see it with relatively low rating while much less entertaining and original "The Magician's Birthday" is purely over-rated. "Pablo Honey" by Radiohead. It's not that bad!!! "The Book of Taliesyn" by Deep Purple. This is my favourite album from this band. It deserves a higher rating here. |

Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue. It's only got a 3.66 on here, and while I know that's not a low score at all, I feel like it epitomizes a dark realm of modern progressive sounds that aren't enough celebrated enough.

Sarcasm. Dude, with all due respect, all those albums who listed are quite revered and celebrated 70's Classic Prog Rock albums. Though some may be so called "controversial", most of the guys on this site, including me, worship those albums. |

It's incredibly highly rated, how can it be underrated?

I really think that many albums are really underrated. Just as Love Beach, it's not an extraordinary album but I think it worths listening. Or A Passion Play, I think it's a masterpiece! The greatest masterpiece I heard! I guess Relayer too is underrated, it's my favorite Yes album (altough the mastering isn't quite good). Any others?
