Why would dressing up like a flower be cool.  In my high school.. I know exactly what Mr. Gabriel would of been called....

Just kidding... I think Gabriel was cool... I think Gilmour was a lot cooler, even had that fashion hair part long before all others..

But y'all know I have to agree with firth of Fith... the coolest was GREG!

THIS IS ELP

I tip my hat to Mr. Peter Gabriel...

He was just so cool during those days...

Seriusly i think Gilmour was the coolest prog rocker

[/QUOTE]

Gilmour was pretty cool looking. Tony Levin is pretty intense-looking...he
did the whole bald thing way before it was cool (though it could very well
have been inspired by Kojak...who was very big at the time)

BTW, I don't know why, but the 80s jsut sucked the coolness out of
anyone's looks. Even Paul McCartney started sporting a mullet. How
controversial was that?

I cant decide who's the cooles of em... meby Roger

Seriusly i think Gilmour was the coolest prog rocker

And dont forget Fripp!

mmm when you start to think there where many cool prog rockers...

In the 70's they where all cool and then came the 80's and no one was cool anymore

And not the music either...

I always like Gabrial dressed up in all those costumes

Thanks ClusterOne for your comment. As for the pictures of Steve Howe
though...I think I just lost my lunch.

The Two Steves win hands down, both for the 'coolness' factor and the sheer shock value of their faces/attire/glasses which IMHO defines prog rock!

Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater. I mean c'mon, the man embodies what it means to be a rock star, and the fact that he has the chops to maintain a superior talent makes him the coolest prog-rocker by far (the rest of Dream Theater don't fall too far behind...except for John Myung ).

The dudes from Pain of Salvation look pretty badass as well
