Glad you had a great time, Scott. Did you make a note of the setlist?

Arrived safe and sound in Cleveland. John Wesley comes on in an hour and then Marillion. I'm getting pretty excited. Anybody else here???

The missus and I are going to this.  We really should meet up!  I'm afraid I'll be driving, so no(t much) drinkies for me, however it is an expensive venue so.....

Hey there, Rog. Would love to meet up. I am staying at Jury's Inn for the week, and plan to have a couple of drinkies prior to the gig. Have a think and PM me details of where you would like to meet beforehand, and I will be there.

This will be, btw, the very first time I will have met anybody from the site, so am really looking forward to this. Unfortunately, my better half will not be present, as I am in Machester teaching at work.

Sounds good to me Steve Thumbs Up.  I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks from tomorrow so will PM you to arrange something once I'm back in Blighty.

Hey Scott. Have a great time. They are truly magnificent live.
So I've heard.  I have a few of their concert DVDs and have enjoyed them.  Anderson, Rabin, and Wakeman are playing in Cleveland the same night.  I really wish that they were playing on separate nights.  It would have really made for a great concert weekend worth the travels.

FEAR. First impressions: Very good. Message music with a startling subtext, but I'll get into that with a proper album review. Rothery and Kelly in good form. Pete and Ian taking a backseat. H's vocal's, and there's a lot, sound strained at times but get the points across. I love The New Kings track. H being able to sing the chorus  "f**k everyone and run" without sounding clichéd or contrived is brilliant. More to follow.

Hi.
You right. His voice is not boring . His voice listened from start to end of album even more than 90% of the songs. This make his voice boring (IMO). Marillion have great musicians and these musicians create great music but H don't let me to listen their music clearly.

Listened again tonight (hoping to review tomorrow night). That end passage of The Leavers is one of those special Marillion moments when you simply have to put the player on pause, have a drink, a break, a fag, and catch your breath to marvel at the sheer emotion and power of it all.

This is, as you say, Jose, a special album. Stunning

I didn't mention, my favourite pieces are El Dorado (standout track for me) and The New Kings. I'm sure that repeated listens will reveal even more as it's a very deep album.

Finally got to hear the album twice today, once in solitude and the other on a nice country walk. I'm really impressed and totally agree Kelly is the star here, he's never sounded better. H is sublime too. Boring? Really? All I'd say is if somebody loves the Fish era only and dislikes Hogarth, then why bother with the new album? He ain't coming back. The band has moved on along with most of their fans.
