One of my favourite TD albums is "Time Square" where there's a track called "Pixel Pirates". I thought that sounded snappy and distinctive, but being only one person I changed it from plural to singular.

As for the avatar I chose it from the ones available when I registered. There's a TD connection once again,of course,in that that particular avatar is called "Wavelength" and there's a TD album by the same name. I thought it appropriate for that reason alone but I also thought that it looks quite a lot like a spectrum analyzer you often find on recording studio equalizers (I actually had one in my hifi at one point. Totally pointless in a home stereo system but it looked tremendously stylish and hypercool.I was still young enough to care about things like that then  ) and since TD rely on advanced studioequipment slightly more than, say Bruce Springsteen,I thought that was an additional reason to use it.

Ok,you can wake up now.

You really are a big TD fan aren't you?

My parents gave me this nickname when I was born. And there's something special about it: it is also my real name. Actually, my full name is Joren Willem van Ree. I've had a few other nicknames in real life (my best friend likes to call me Jørginx), but none of them seems to really fit.

My avatar at the moment is Da Vinci's famous Mona Zappa, a true piece of art.

Ooh, this is interesting, I'm learning more about people in this thread than in any other.

I love the ITCOTCK cover. I'm not as big a Crimson fan as I used to be but I still enjoy the association.

sigod - Contraction of my full name Simon Godgsrewidjdjkdkdjshgsfwyqwytuqweeee.

My nickname is my home town - Swinton, Manchester shortened to SwintonMCR, my new avatar is the cover of Genesis Live - Just a cool picture that sums up the early seventies live atmosphere.....

Incidentally - My son is a budding artist and his favourite artist is H.R Giger and his painting for BSS is one of the finest ever used for an album design !!! However some of his work is VERY adult and I'm sure thats the attraction for my 14 year old son !

Man Erg is my real name and the avatar's that I use are the family crests of the various branches of my family.
Read De Brett's peerage on the history of the Man Erg family.
