Why not throw them all in together by including albums by Brian Eno, Eddie Jobson, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera & John Wetton too, in something like a Proxy Music series of polls.

But that would mean me having to listen to all of the Swans albums first. It could have been worse though. You could have asked me for a poll of Current 93, Henry Cow or The Residents albums.

@Progaardvark. You've missed the point completely, my friend. xD I recommend reading my previous posts for context.

I do that, literally, about four times a day. My dog poops a lot. What would you wrap around a 1975 AMC Pacer?

Hi, That's the hard part or it all ... someone with blue/green balls posting that the artistry for the progressive website is a drag, and probably not realising that it is a show of so many bands that we love dearly ... which kinda states that such a fan, is not a fan of the music at all, otherwise he would recognize many of the little details in the work, and appreciate them ... but the issue might be that he does not see anything that he/she likes in the past 20/25 years ... and then, yeah ... one would think that an update would be nice and needed, but the artist sort of disappeared ... and I guess he has just now surfaced from his big sleep. The weirdness, and sometimes hippocrisy, is that such a fan that "loves music" would not be criticising things that are older, since Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Stravinsky and many others are also "MUSIC" and deserve the respect. It's just weird, that some "fans" do not know this is an art ... not some bubble gum that you can chew and then chuck! It would be nice to see the artistry continue ... for its lifetime, but these days, with the nature and ways of the internet, it looks like "talent" only exists for a nighttime ... and is gone the next morning. Which sadly, is not how the arts have lived for hundreds of years, but it might be a way to separate the ones that mean it, and the ones that don't care ... but sadly, this means that we will never again will catch, and see, another Grateful Dead band ... that gave it away, and became one of the richest ever, while also having the best sound system of them all! PS: A side bar here ... my own sister, lives in Paris and has done art shows in more than 50 locations all over Europe in her time, and now reaching her 60's, in Paris (where she has been for 40+ years), she still has to have a side job ... and has not done an art show in sometime. Art, for her, is now a sort of private thing for herself, and screw the public side of it. And it's hard to criticize that when you see someone try so hard for so long, only to still be empty and having to collect peanuts to make a daily meal and keep a roof over her head. Something here is not right, but everyone will always assume that she doesn't care anymore, and her stuff is just as good as ever, just not appreciated ... because it doesn't have the "look" and the "feel" of the current style!

If the voting had gone the other way, then I guess I could've taken the rest of the year off from polling.

If the option to keep the number at where Paul thinks he is comfortable with was given, I'd vote for that. He does need to sleep, does he not? I built an inner tube I can wrap around a 1975 AMC Pacer.

Paws for thought... You're not the only one who misses Christi's cute cat playing with the computer mouse.

I never feel comfortable just posting a word, and so the filler from me could be taken as gibberish at times -- often some might say. As for Ken of the progorycteropodidae, I have a big appreciation for him. I have found that he's a caring person who has much of interest to say, as well as repetitive random rubbish. Many of us are eccentric in our own ways and we should learn to not just adapt ourselves to the crowd but adapt to individuals, in my opinion (this is like some social experiment). Although I would rather those stay in the Just For Fun forum, I accept that people here have their quirks and it does differentiate his posts from others for good or ill. Tact and tolerance is a good thing commonly. I appreciate him despite the poop that aardvarks are wont to leave behind, prog or otherwise. |

^ Thanks Mosh and to everyone who's voted so far. It looks like I'm destined to be busy posting polls daily from now on then, if this poll result is anything to go by.

Hi,
No complaints, and I'm glad that Paul does this ... PA really needs one person to do just this ... all day ... it shows an appreciation for music that is very different and rare. When added to Andrea's and DamoX's postings this shows a much wider love and understanding for things, than just monthly list, or a yearly list, although folks are replying really nicely to a lot of the monthly/new stuff listed, which is neat. Well done Paul
