Now that being said, I think there's going to be a crisis within the next 10 year or so in football as more info begins to come out about head injuries. Kurt Warner came out and said he doesn't want his sons playing football, which is horrible PR for the NFL. And I think it was Peter King who tweeted a question asking how many parents woke up to hear about the Bounty-gate penalties and Junior Seau on the same day, and decided "My kids will never play football."
Tl;dr: Glad Suggs is out. Wilma got what he deserved. I predict football will drop in popularity due to how unsafe the game has become.

Bengals had such a good draft. You might be able to steal some games with the injury.

On the news of injuries....Eric LeGrand, the kid from Rutgers who got paralyzed a couple of years ago, was signed by the Buccs. Of course this is symbolic, and Greg Schiano was the coach of Rutgers the past few years, but guess it's a feel good story.
I didn't go to Rutgers but both dudes are pretty much heroes around here.

That could be confused as a possible bounty........Can't do that in in thre NFL, so I have heard.

haha Well one thing the NFL can be sure of, it won't be me who's paying this bounty, I can't afford to go out for food at the moment I've actually heard that for a few years David. They claimed fewer kids were playing football because parents were less willing to expose them to the risk, instead choosing soccer and lacrosse...which they say were really ballooning in popularity. Especially in Texas where football is like a religion. Not sure if that was/is true, or even how accurate the overall statement "fewer parents want their kids playing football" but yeah. It does seem a bit reactionary, and one the big reasons people piss me off is because we are reactionary and don't think football is what it is. Why would you care more now? Because there are "more" injuries or you're more aware?? It's sad when you hear the news we do but you must have some idea...a bit of a knee jerk reaction IMO. It's odd to hear Warner say that, but if he was targeted with this bounty gate maybe he's just generally upset. Ugh IDK, this is why we need the season to start!

Ahh thanks. At first they made it sound like they got rid of him which didnt make any sense. That sucks for ravens and esp for Suggs. Cant be a fun injury.

Well does the NFL handle anything well? What's ironic is Vilma put up big tackle numbers but he struggled against the run. He was a generally good LB but it seems when pushed he could be a weak spot in the D (maybe why he needed to try and kill people? ) Watch his replacement be better! Is Brees still not signed???

^ I can agree with that......but the NFL still in general handled this whole thing badly...too much for some and not enough for others, but really too much.
Nothing has been fixed.
And Saints need to get Brees signed......give him what he wants

Eh, I think it's kind of sad the Saints D hasn't been that good AND they were trying to hurt people What if they played clean??? ; ) Like I said, this is more or less a bad pre season...I'm sure the team will rally, and the offense is already a machine. I really don't see the Saints hurtin too much from this.

^The Suh thing has nothing to do with it, but no I don't think Suh got punished appropriately.
I don't think you can just identify when it looks like someone is trying to injure someone else.

Did that fat slob Suh from Detroit get what he deserved when he openly without any problem stomped on the GB Packer's head and arm? I doubt it.......
Again, Goodell is not handling the WHOLE NFL situation properly. When so many people... fans, NFL players active and non active, believe that some of the punishment for this bounty gate is excessive, something is not right.
I say have a jury or panel view 10 NFL games, mix in the NFC Championship game and other team games. Then ask them to identify where they saw defenders targeting other players to hurt them, and also ask them to ID the players doing it.
My answer would be all of them.....
