I feel your pain, as the Jays were humiliated in Seattle weeks ago.

I was hoping the Jays would at least split the 4 games they have in Texas.  2 of the 3 so far, and yesterdays was a close game.  Though fan interference with Beltre on a foul pop fly helped us get 2 runs in the 7-6 loss.

Juan Rivera is finally starting to hit the ball after hitting near .100 all season.  Bautista continues to impress with his plate patience, and Adam Lind had a huge game 2 with 2 homers 5 ribs and 3 hits.  He did bobble a bouncing throw to first base, but they gave the error to Edwin Encarnacion.

Look at it this way, Ryan Rayburn is as consistent fielding at 2nd base as he is in left field. Wink

It took 10 innings before the Buccos gave away game one.

Tigers had a disappointing loss to the Mariners today 7 to 3.  The weather co-operated as it stayed dry except for about a 1 minute rain shower that consisted of giant raindrops.  With Hernandez facing Coke it wasn't really surprising that the Tigers lost, but they did have Hernandez on the ropes twice and couldn't get the big blow in on him.  That and Ryan Raburn really sucked up the joint today.

Adam Dunn batting .145.  That isn't going to last.  A great weekend for the Tigers.  A really small holiday crowd down there today.  It was a little on the cool side, but lots of sun and a Tiger victory made for a great day at the ball park.

Don't be so sure.  Adam Dunn has always been a "swing as hard as you can and hope to hell you hit it" kind of player.  I'm sure he'll get hot soon, but don't count out a poor season.
When it is all said and done I expect he'll be in the .250 range with 30+ homers and 100+ RBIs.  As a Tigers' fan I'd be thrilled if he wound up sub .200 with under 20 homers and under 75 RBIs.

By season's end you'll be looking at about what Carlos Pena gave the Rays last year.

Been waiting for the drop off a cliff year from Dunn for awhile now.  This could be it.
I don't see how it hasn't happened yet.

His BABIP is a full 2 standard deviations away from his career average and he's also striking out more than usual. Some of the latter change is due to bat speed decreasing as he ages, but the BABIP can't really be explained.

There's no way he continues on anything close to this pace, unless he's injured. His profile ages poorly, but not that poorly. A down year is definitely possible and very likely at this stage of the season, but he'll be fine.

The Buccos are 3 games under .500. It appears that it's business as usual.
