Just for the craziness of it, and epic defenses, I'd really like a 49ers/Broncos SB. As for Flacco I was figuring this year would be the year. He really has been solid, with flashes of great play, and we get caught up with the Matt Ryan's, Cam Newtons and now maybe RG3s that we forget young QBs struggle often Assuming the D line picks up...I really do expect the G men to make the playoffs, but they will certainly lose (99.9% sure of course ) Eli pulled out the miracle with no o line, run game or secondary but that can't be repeated.

A bit late, so disqualify me if needed, but my prediction for the playoffs: AFC: Patriots Texans Ravens Broncos Steelers Chargers NFC: 49ers Falcons Packers Eagels Bears Bucs Perhaps a but of a strtch with the bucs, but can't be too predicable. And they are in order.

Nice win by the Ravens,on a Monday night game, for once.Flacco looks like a more confident QB since Harbaugh and Cameron took the training wheels off(finally!!).Some good catches by Boldin,Smith and Jones and Rice didn't have stellar numbers as far as yards but 2 td's.The D needs a bit of work though,I was getting worried in the 2nd quarter or so when Dalton was hot and connecting with everyone he threw to.

To be fair, she was a man. IDK how Ed Reed is in one piece, or even alive still, but he can still return picks for TDs! The whole defense may be aged and broken but they just keep on going. Great win for the Ravens, I'm a casual fan and it's great to see Flacco do well. NJ folk hero Ray Rice will always be a tiny little monster

Charles is a good running back, don't know about top 5 yet (coming off a lost year, after all. need to see something first), and their defense is very good but they aren't they aren't going to shut down teams week after week (which they need to do to win, Charles or not). You also seem to discount the effect of a head coach or simply don't believe Romeo is as terrible as he truely is. |
I don't think he's terrible. The only thing concerning about the Eagles game was Vick. In that sense, it's at least correctable since it's the performance of one person. Of course, that person being the most important player on the team is concerning. I'm very concerned, but I"m not panicking yet.

^ Probably. I'm not a fan, btw.
Looking over the Chiefs' schedule again I could see my way to maybe bumping them up to 6 wins.

So Jamaal Charles isn't a top 5 RB or KC didn't have a great defense before they lost their best 4 players who will be back?
I was making a joke bro. If I wanted to be smug I'd point out how your defense got roasted by the same five yard curl route all night long or I would just keep saying 1-0 1-0 over and over again.

Expect better than that from you. I always blame coaches and players unless there's an absolutely horrendous call. Don't be a smug jackass because your terrible QB found a way to pull out a 1 point victory over one of the 2-3 worst teams in the game. The Steelers played embarrassing defense, just as they did week 1 last year, but this time around it was actually more distressing. Last year QBs threw it all over the yard on the Steelers because the didn't have the secondary to cover for the non-existent blitz pressure. In this game the blitz pressure was there and the secondary still couldn't cover anyone. They had no CBs last year and didn't bother trying to get any in the offseason. Still breaking in the Haley offense but it reminds me a lot of the Cowher-Whisenhunt days: dominate time of possession yet never build a lead that your defense can't blow in 1-2 plays.

The Packers could very well be 1-3 through their first four games now that I look at their schedule. I don't expect them to go 0-4, but I could actual see that happening too.

I knew the Steelers just had too many hurdles to overcome this first game... Peyton and the Denver defense looked good, they may win the AFC West.

Hey me too! I got $$ in another league and I had no time to prep and have a pretty poor team (sans Rodgers).
Damn, there's no question that Peyton is back. His throwing was perfect as always but his decision making...every one he makes is always perfect, he is a true football artist.
I am really liking Denver. That D is looking damn solid, McGahee is a good back, Peyton hasn't missed a step and he has some serious weapons.

Their defense is what carried them last year when Tebow was being terrible and Tebow like.

Yeah Akers is just going crazy with SF.
I'm sure MoM will be in to explain how the refs cost the Steelers the game.

In other news, Wilson did enough to win that game for the Seahawks today. Kind of disappointing game for them. Meanwhile SF looked fantastic.

Mhm, if he made Tebow look any good at all he will be Jesus with Peyton. However, you have Mike Wallace so I'm not feeling hot
