Well, gee, I'm sorry, man. I just don't get it! Of course, there is a reason why I've crossed it off and deleted that part of one of my previous posts - because it is rather an interesting feat at best, but not really a stinker.

Not a fan of simple pop? How about "A Venture"?

Where would we be without Stockhausen and Cage?

I love Dire Straits and Making Movies, but for me all of side 2 is a little lame. I don't hate Les Boys as much as everyone else, but I don't like the rest of side two as much as other people either.

People who hate Moonchild and Revolution 9 don't understand music.

I guess I'd say "D'yer Mak'er" pretty much ruins Houses of the Holy for me.

The White Album wouldn't be half the album it is without Revolution 9.  I think it's the pivotal track on the whole album.  I'm serious.  Sure, it's unpleasant, but oh, the mystique.  Being the penultimate track on a huge album, an 8 minute insane ride through anything but music... and then "good night".  Creepy as hell, and one of the most powerful statements the Beatles ever made.

I got two right up front - and these two will be brought out and argued (both for and against) real soon.

In the Court of the Crimson King - Moonchild
and
Red - Providence

I've learned to simply skip over both.

Here's another one that pops up pretty damn quick:

Revolution #9 - Beatles. The white album is arguably one of the greatest musical releases of all time and here comes, oh lord, a sound collage that doesn't end.

Do any of you have an album that is basically faultless....... bar that one total abomination that makes you go WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!????

The otherwise perfect album blighted at the last minute by an unwelcome musical turd popping up out of nowhere Shocked

I'll give you mine for starters......

Dire Straits - Making Movies

Just completely sublime from the first bars of 'Tunnel Of Love' to the closing notes of 'Solid Rock'........and then we get 'Les Boys' - which makes me want to stick a rusty fork in my ears Wink
